Restaurant bewertenJohnnys always hits for me when it comes to their salad but I had to remove a star this time because the gentleman that took my order was a tad bit rude and short. Albeit he was frustrated due to the heavy traffic and short of help, he rushed me through my order and STILL DIDNT GET IT RIGHT! Come one people tone of he first key to getting a good review is having good listening skills My order was simple and there was no reason for error Aside from these issues everything was good
I have been a customer of this pizza establishment for years. Good pizza!! dinning today took a bad turn. We sat there for sometime our waitress came and got our order wasn't happy they don't carry any beverage that I like. That's a problem. We ordered, time went by and we sat. She came back to the table again brought a menu again ask for our order. Now we have been there for sometime no food no drink. She came back the table a ask what our order was. I then ask to make it to go. So she then got upset that we asked for it to go. Then she says she hasn't input the order yet and we have ordered 3 times, same things all three times. We said to just forget it since she constantly was bickering with us when we we're getting upset that we had to order 3 separate times and she still hadn't input our order to the chef. We walked out and I will not go back. Not to say we made a scene arguing who was the worst person. BAD SERVICE. She said she has been a waitress for 7 years, when it appears she has only been one for 7 minutes. When asked to see the manager she started yelling at us. Absolutely the worst customer service ever!!!
The food is palatable if you only get pizza but that kitchen is absolutely filthy. There's a thick layer of flour dust encrusted on the oven hood so much that you can barely see the once colorful stickers that adhere to it. The area where the take out food is passed to the front has grimy hand prints on the surface.. The kitchen watches tv on this monitor that is covered in food derived handprints... The speakers playing the music have a 1/2 inch layer of dust and cobwebs. This plays needs a DEEP cleaning. If that's only what I can see I don't want to let my imagination loose on what I cannot. This last visit was the final straw. Gross, absolutely disgusting.
It 's not easy to get less than three stars from me. And the only reason Johnnys did not get 1 stars was because 1. I remember how good their pizza used to be and 2. The staff was very nice. My family has a house right across the street so I remember coming here when they first opened and it being so clutch. Fast forward 10 years, i now live in Brooklyn, NY so I know what authentic NY style pizza is. One of the most signature characteristics of a NY slice, is when you fold it at the crust, it keeps in shape up, doesn 't fall, and only the tip slightly hangs (maybe a little oil from the pepperoni drips : . This pizza could be nothing further, and should remove NY Style from their name. I ordered a pie half cheese, half veggie. The pizza crust was so thick, they laid so much cheese that it had the consistency of a rubbery layer with half cooked toppings. It was such a heavy and sloppy pizza. I 'm not sure what happened to this place. It felt like the owners were closer to the product when it first opened, and now there 's a glaringly clear lack of training on how to properly make a NY style pie. I could 've went to Little Caesars and got a better version of the rest of America style pizza Johnny 's now serves.
I've been coming here for years. Just got a deluxe vege (Veggie Deluxe Pizza Onions, green peppers, mushrooms, fresh spinach, diced tomatoes, green black olives. and Bronx bomber with salad N Johnny's oil-vinegar herb and there is so much deliciousness in my tummy. Hey this is going to last for days, whadya think, I'm a pig? Get outta here. Gotta try the meatball sub! Ommm. And the getti sauce is momma mia, slap my momma good! Oh and gotta go with the fancy dancy The Gourmet Pizza! Bon Appetit! Fresh spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, black olives, artichoke hearts feta cheese. Yeah, I cut and pasted it, so what. Been in my tummy many times, that the only she likes. Me, love them all but the veggie yummm, And I try to support them! Remember that great pizza+ take out place over at the Clay Plaza Shopping Center? Man they ruled for a while. Gotta support them while they are still here. Or all we end up is endless burger chains. God help us
