Restaurant bewertenTracy and I were invited out by great friends, Mark Mary, and this is the restuaunt they chose. Everything was fabulous. Starting with the host, Sebastian, then the wine, the drinks, the food, the desert, the atmosphere, the seats (very comfortable), and spacious the dining area, it was all fabulous. Looking for a very nice, fancy, 3 course meal for that date that you're trying to impress? This is the place. Typically 3 course meal restaurants charge a crazy price, but Metro Bis only charges $60 per a person. The course sizes are almost perfect that by the time you reach desert, you're completely full. Just remember, dress to impress. Update Unfortunately the food has dropped after a year of my last visit. The salad had been drowned in dressing, and the creme Brule was burnt (not the way it should be). I'd still say if you're okay with spending a lavish amount of money, try it out. If not, ignore it. I do not recommend the drinks unfortunately, as they are extremely overpriced. And if you want wine, you're better off buying the bottle there than getting a glass. The building is beautiful though, weekend nights can get very crowded however. The main course was cooked very well.
Went for lunch during the week. Chicken pad thai was meh. Same quality as what you might get at a cheap food truck. Very surprised. Hadn’t been there in years and past experience was very good. Fixed price of $30 high for the limited options. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
One of the most underwhelming, anticlimactic dining experiences in CT, esp at $30/plate. Save yourself some coin and dine at Antonio’s or Joey Garlics. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
The setting is beautiful but the food is just average. I had salmon with lobster and tomato risotto but there was no sign of lobster...you couldn't taste it, you couldn't see it. The salmon had absolutely no seasoning at all just served plain. The aioli did not pair well with the risotto and tasted mainly of mayonnaise. The restaurant only had 5 or 6 tables full at the time we were there but the service still managed to be slow.
