Mateo's Mexican Grill & Cantina

I'm a local and for almost 33 years... I always wanted to come here, but everyone I've ever asked to accompany me said they don't like their food. so after years that I didn't want to go alone, I finally found a taker... and it was one of the best experiences I had in a restaurant up here and the food was delicious. I usually found food allergies in Mexican foods and they worked with me. So a delicious and friendly place... I'm glad I never gave up looking for someone. Come out tonight if NASCAR ever ends! Lol

We've eaten here, it's always good. You have a great menu and a wonderful salsa bar. If we're in show low, it's our place to go. Great staff.

The food was delicious and I must say my husband was very impressed by the chorizo breakfast the best he had in a restaurant and the tacos were also very, very good! We will definitely stop eating there again when we are in show low!! Oh also the salsa was spicy, but delicious could not stop eating it!! The waitresses were also very friendly!!

The Chile Relleno is the best I've ever eaten. My husband and I love Nanas Salsa and the Pico de Gallo. We have decided that we really love #24- One Chile relleno and a taco....we like our tacos crispy with crushed beef. On Friday night we go with two other couples and share pitchers from Margaritas. You open early in the morning and we like to go there at 10 am on Saturday for a #24! Seriously good food.

Absolutely the best Chile Rellenos on earth ! The service is great, the staff friendly.
