Restaurant bewertenWe went for an early Sunday morning breakfast...9 of us had the place to ourselves!! food was awesome...can't wait to go back for lunch!
I then drove around the block, found the back parking lot, and noticed there was only one space left. The cars were parked tandem, making it impossible for my friend, who was nearby, to find parking. As a result, I decided to go to the restaurant across the street and canceled my reservation. This area of Sherman Oaks is quite busy, and parking can be a challenge, especially when a restaurant lacks its own parking lot or a valet service. I relied on the information available online, which turned out to be inaccurate. I wish them all the best; the person I spoke with on the phone was polite, but unfortunately, my visit didn’t work out.
The lobster omelette is fantastic! I also really liked the hash browns with kale and quinoa. The decor is lovely, making it an ideal spot for brunch.
The hostess didn't check OpenTable from the moment we made our reservation until we arrived 30 minutes later. She seemed surprised when we showed up, expecting a table at our reserved time. She mentioned some nonsense about how OpenTable doesn’t guarantee a reservation. We explained that the purpose of OpenTable is to secure a reservation in real time without needing to call the restaurant, and that it shouldn't show available times if those reservations aren't actually honored. The manager also didn’t seem to have much common sense. Their Yelp page claims they are "good for kids," but we got the impression that they didn't want us there with our children. We noticed several open tables that they could have used to accommodate us, but they clearly chose not to. We decided to leave and try another restaurant. I will never return to this place, with or without my kids.
They need to check on the tables more frequently. The service was among the worst I've ever experienced.
