Restaurant bewertenI 've always quite liked the Lescar, and generally enjoyed the food on Saturdays and mid-week when we 've sat in the rear garden, so we thought we 'd try the Sunday dinner that 's billed in various places as 'the best in Sheffield '. I don 't want to post a negative review, as I don 't think that benefits anyone.... try it yourself, you might like it, and generally on any other day the food is pretty good, but I really can 't recommend Sunday dinner. 3 meat sharing platter... everything was as tough as old boots, and not cooked to the right temperature where it melts in the mouth. The pork belly was completely inedible. Poor veg selection, and mean portions for the money. Roast potatoes were tough. Yorkshire pud was the best part of it. Very expensive for what it was. I can 't believe this is the best Sheffield can do! We won 't be returning. This review is based on previous experiences.
Great night at the Lescar last night. Comedy night! Danny O'Loughlin Very good! Food V.good. Staff and service excellent.
Slightly slow food service, put that down to re-adjusting after lockdown. So no harm done, perhaps got slightly hungry! Always has been a nice place, with nice staff. The Last Laugh comedy can be good fun if you get a chance, if not, go for the food because that is very nice too, both your pub classics and slightly more interesting bits and pieces. This visit we got to enjoy the newly (ish) refurbished outside seating areas, so go check it out if you've not even in a while.
Really good for people with allergies, they’re really careful, have an allergy menu to look at and told me they would prepare all my food separately which was really reassuring to hear. The two staff who served us were really lovely as well! Also they do great live music (Jazz at The Lescar which is always worth going to on a Wednesday evening :
Visited this pub yesterday for the first time since I eas a student in Sheffield back in the 1980's what a transformation. Sat in the beer garden enjoying great real ale. The food looked tremendous and they now have rooms for hire and jazz events. Recommended!
