Restaurant bewertenExcellent variety of fruit flavored ice cream on one side and coffee, chocolate, pistachio and many more on the other side. Cones, wafers or tubs. good service. Seating in and outside.
Did you know this is the oldest ice cream shop in Setúbal? Maybe, I might be biased here, but I’ve been coming here since I was a little child, and I still remain loyal to this day! My family buys 1L of ice cream from the shop every once in a while, since they have an option to pick a couple of flavours to store in a Styrofoam container to keep it fresh from melting! I love, love, love, the sweet rice “arroz doce” flavour, because it is a typical Portuguese dessert and I never seen any other ice cream shop have this flavour but be aware that it does have rice inside the ice cream ball ! For people that are adventurous, you can also try the Ferrero Roche or the After Eight flavours. For those more traditional, I also recommend the strawberry and the vanilla ones. The shop might be easy to miss, but it is worth the visit. Rosy
My wife wanted gelado for desert so we walked to a ittle shop in a square near our Airbnb. My wife had a cup of cheescake gelado, and I had a two scoop cone that consisted of the same cheescake gelado on the bottom, with melon on the top. The shop was quite busy, but the two employees were able to take care of all the patrons rather quickly. The gelado was creamy, and not too sweet, and the portions were generous. My two scoop cone was 3.40 euros, while my wife's cup was 1.90 euros. Since there were about a half dozen other unique flavors I would still like to try, we will probably go back for more.
