Restaurant bewertenCame for my daughters birthday meal. Started OK and ordered. Head came before the starter! That was sent away without apology. Starter came and was OK. The main course then arrived, that was the same as we rejected. Pasta hot is not good. Couldn't make a scene as a daughter be embarrassed! Steak tartar missing capers and was not good
Ossobuco, Risotto, Pizza, Burger I thought spending my vacation in France, but I must have taken the wrong plane...
Stayed at Serignan plage for 2 weeks at the beginning of June. Received a big welcome back from Fabrice and staff. Ate at the restaurant each night and the food quality never faltered. Excellent from 1st night to last. I'm quite a fussy eater but still found it very tasty. I even had the fish and chips a few times, eventhough I don't normally eat it at home. Thanks Herman, Caro and others for a very enjoyable experience. See you mext year.
The positives: The setting in the Balneo area of Serignan Plage, in the outdoors with the sky as a ceiling and the blood moon setting on the night we dined there just to die for; The initial service for our party of 15 was excellent there were 8 children who all got excellent attention from the staff with smiles on their faces and they were all very happy (also the fact that they were able to move from the table to the indoor seating area to watch the TV for a short while in between ordering food and receiving it! The negatives: The food promised more than it delivered. The salad starters looked great but really there was too much lettuce and little of the main ingredients (goats chese or seafood etc. ; The fried foods were very rich and heavy (fish and chips; burgers and there were a few upset stomachs following the meal. I think we may just have been unlucky with our choices I would still recommend the location as the setting is just beautiful but as one reviewer said above, remember that this is still a campsite restaurant and not to expect high end cuisine. Don't get me wrong I still love Le Serignan Plage but I was hoping that the food at Le Villa would meet the wow factor of its surroundings.
We ordered: Bread goat cheese salad with sunflower honey sauce. Vegan Burger with Fritten. Chicken Nuggets with Fritten. At first they brought the wrong burger.... a beef burger.... they changed it immediately, but they didn't make a new one that just changed the patty. Beefburger is with brioche beer, vegan is with sesame beer.... so I noticed. The vegan burger was quite tasteless.... a soyapatty with eggplants, salad and tomatoes... no sauce, no spices... a handful of frits on the side of 6, slightly seasoned, salad leaves: 16€ goat cheese was really good... but it was not a salad. Rye mushrooms and some onions decorated the pile of unwashed salad leaves, from above with a hint of a honey mustard sauce. Tha Salad had a light taste of earth and was not edible at all. The cheese itself sat on a Toastes brooch and was really good: 12€ The children's menu: chicken nuggets, naturally frozen, slightly burned and unseasonal. Gordon Ramsay's first question: Did you cost that? I love the campsite. But dinner... just outside the campsite.
