Surprised by the high rating and cost symbol. Mercato is definitely a , food was 7/10, service 6/10, and overall experience 7/10 at best.

Food was splendid and the service was fabulous but the Foursquare cost rating was stupidly out of line. This is a pricey restaurant!

The gnocchi is amazing! The steak is also perfect, but make sure you have a big appetite.

The caprese salad is delicious. So is the lasagna, both the meat and vegetarian versions.

The bistecca for 2 feeds 3—4 easily — recommend Elio Grassi Barber d'Alba 2010 great red wine
