Restaurant bewertenI was not impressed with this place. The food was extremely dry and didn?t have much flavor (my friends? food was the same). My tacos were so dry and tasteless, I asked for salsa and sour cream and was charged an additional $1 for it. If you want goodMexican food, I don?t recommend this place. I?ve had way better service and food for much cheaper. On the plus side, we wereseated right away on a weekend evening.
I'm going to give them a few stars for the service and the atmosphere. It's a nice get together spot. I have friends that go weekly because of the drink specials and food specials. I have to say that if it weren't for the sheer fact of meeting with them, I'd not go back. The food isn't great. It's been this way for years. I've sent enchiladas back numerous times because the bottoms were so burnt not even a knife would cut through. The tacos for taco Tuesday have very little flavor. I love spice and so I will often order a side of their New Mexico sauce that often has quite a kick. There has been times where it's had very little spice to it. I've even had a server come back to me saying they tasted the sauce and here was some chopped jalapenos because they didn't know what happened or why the sauce had no spice. Clearly they do a great business so, these things might just be happening to me. Like I said, atmosphere and service are amazing. If I drank, the specials alone would keep me coming.
I was not impressed by this restaurant. The food was extremely dry and lacked flavor, and my friends felt the same about their meals. My tacos were especially dry and tasteless, so I asked for some salsa to add some acidity, but I was charged an extra $1 for it. If you're looking for good Mexican food, I wouldn't recommend this place. I've had much better service and more affordable meals elsewhere. On the bright side, we did get a table right away on the weekend.
My favorite aspect of this restaurant is definitely the artwork. It's bold, beautiful, and incredibly intriguing. I tried the sweet tamales, which were a bit too sweet for my taste, but my partner ordered the enchiladas, and they were delicious. He also had a margarita that I sampled, and it was quite good. The chips and salsa were tasty as well, and John, our waiter, was excellent. I also love the new blue and yellow chairs on the outdoor terrace; they really add a vibrant touch to the space. Overall, it was a delightful experience!
We really enjoyed our meal at jalapeno inferno. Came here from a recommendation from the pro shop at the Troon North course, and we were certainly not disappointed. Starting with the chips and salsa, the chips were super good and a unique layering style that caused them to be a little bit lighter and flakier which we really liked. I got the lunch fajitas and it was plenty of food, all very flavorful and enjoyable. One of my companions got the chicken wrap and the tortilla they used was an authentic homemade style tortillas for the wrap, and it was next level. He was very complimentary of the wrap. The margaritas were tasty, but came in a martini glass and we thought they were a bit small for the price. I would go ahead and get a rock's margarita with some sort of specialty liquor mixed in because it's roughly the same price anyway. We were there for a friend's birthday and the waiter was super nice and after our meal brought out some ice cream with a sort of flavored crust on the outside, and it had some festive sparklers for the celebration. Much appreciated. Highly recommend!
