Boentje Cafe - Schaerbeek

We ordered yogourt , gaufre salé, sandwich ciabatta veggie, everything is delicious and made by heart. Friendly people as well!

Unfortunately me and my friend were dissappointed to our visit. The place is filled with tables, which is why its very tight and extremely loud. We went on Sunday afternoon, so it’s understandable that there were a lot of people, but we could barely hear each other. The waiter came to ask our order after 30minute wait, and eventually also the food was tasteless (at least the waffles and carrot cake). Two stars anyway for the zero waste concept and beautiful dishes.

The restaurant is small, family, cozy and prices are really affordable. In addition, there is always a plant option on the map that changes every week. Ecology and waste are at the heart of the project. Tables and chairs are elements of recovery and it gives a family atmosphere instead. Glass poles, bulk salt, cloth towels.... Really nice place!

There are some nice vegan options, you can ask and they can turn the brunch découverte vegan even if it's not indicated on the menu. Just assure you that it's vegan (they brought us two different breads, one of them was not vegan even if we had mentioned we are vegan). Otherwise it's a great place, quite expensive but very nice concept (local and zero waste).

Often proposing a lot of vegetarian and vegan choices this place is located in one of the most beautiful place in Brussels. Fresh products and friendly service
