Rustico - Scarborough

I have been to this restaurant a few times. I tried their latte and cappuccino on one visit and the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was warm. I also grabbed some sauce to go. The fresh pizza was delicious.

Everything from the coffee to the sauce to the soups are amazing. They have hot food ready to eat or you can take a jar of save, soup or a frozen entree home.

The restaurant serves delicious, freshly baked focaccia daily. The enticing aroma fills the air as soon as you walk in, making your mouth water. They offer a variety of options including sandwiches, the soup of the day, pizzetta, and salads. You can also purchase their tomato sauces and soups in jars to take home. Additionally, they have a small cappuccino bar and fresh cannoli made to order. The restaurant offers both takeout and sit-down options at very reasonable prices. They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 8am to 7pm, closed on Mondays.

Rustico has improved the local dining options exponentially. Daily focaccia is irresistible. Homemade jarred soups and tomato sauce are good take-home options, as are a few frozen entrées, such as meatballs in tomato sauce and chicken parmigiana, but dine-in options are limited. Cannoli are a speciality. They also have Italian cookies and seasonal panettone. Would love to see a daily hot entrée we could plan dinner around.

My partner and I stumbled upon this hidden gem. We enjoyed fresh homemade focaccia, hand-filled cannoli, fresh premade pastas, and a delicious latte.
