Shell House - Savannah

We stayed here in a mood during our trip. Best decision at all!!!! The parts are HUGE! We ordered the net and it was enough to share and have some to go! The taste of the alligator tail and hush puppies were so good. The service was so fast. We never asked for refills and they came! The food lasted only about 5-10 minutes and was hot and freshly tasting. The restaurant has cool fish theme decorations and is family-friendly. There are outdoor seating and plenty of space between tables. We're coming back!

We had fried catfish, cooked prawns, red rice (too sweet for me, so I changed instead to cheesy goose), whole flounder, green beans, Fries Bada Bing shrimps that were YUMMY! They are fried crispy and sat in this half-buffalo sauce. Very tasty, not sharp. After dinner we went to the little pier fed the turtle fish. We were told there was a gator, but we didn't see him. Do not let the busy parking lot steer you off, we were told that there was a 30-minute wait, so we went to the bar to discover that we could eat there order. Soon as we ordered in 20 minutes, they told us that our table is ready. GOOD CALL FOR DINNER!!!

Came for our 10th anniversary. We both cooked the snow. Best shrimp I ever had! Perfectly cooked and this comes from a Beaufort local who cooked shrimp all his life. Portions were HUGE! The staff was very attentive and the owner checked us personally.

We had an awesome server. The crab legs and shrimp were very good, we would def go back again.. drinks we're very strong and good.. The chicken tenders were very big and good.

The food was delicious! We did have to wait a good while, but they did have chairs behind the bar area for sitting and an outdoor deck with an alligator and turtles for the kids to feed and watch! That entertained the children! Our service was good too. I would recommend bringing cash because they do charge a fee for cards. Ours was about $3.00. We enjoyed our visit and will be back!
