Restaurant bewertenHave been here a few times with friends and everytime I had a great time. Good food and beverages with a great view of the city.
Katriya being one of the hotels which have been around for a long time, or so I hear.A group of 5 friends landed at k Sky Grill at 730 pm last time (Sunday). There was absolutely no1 there. The ambiance sure looked nice. It also has different levels. I love rooftop places generally. We settled at the table at the upper level which is nice if you want some privacy, but the lighting is quite poor. The menu is on a tab. This brings to my main problem with this place. The menu is very small. It needs more variety. Also the tab version doesn't give descrptions of some dishes. so the chef was nice enough to come to our table and make recommendations. In starters, we ordered paneer shashlik and murgh chandini kabab. The chicken was quite juicy, and we all like it. The paneer had a sweet flavor of tomato sauce/ barbecue sauce, which we didn't like much. the portion size for both was ok. Coming to the main course, we were left with very little choice due to the lack of variety in the menu. They have sizzlers on the menu as well, which are quite pricey and according to the waiter, not big enough to be main course items. So we decided to order Indian food- keema mutton, sky grill chicken curry and vilayati subz. Each of these come with 2 baby rotis and a small bowl of pulao. 2 of my friends had a heavy lunch, so the quantity was just fine for all of us. Normally, each of these dishes is good for 1 person. The chicken curry was good and I would recommend it any1. Keema was ok, nothing great. The veg curry full of broccoli, zucchini, paneer, etc. had a little sweet flavor which I din't like but my friends found it ok.The service is quite good. We availed the corporate discount of 15% and the total bill came to lil over 2k. I would like to see more variety in this place. With the ambiance, view of the lake and the service this place still scores but menu should be expanded.
Nice place to have dinner privately.. less people, late service, not such a great ambience but enjoyable view of Hussain Sagar. Food is OK, should maintain well.
Nice place for a weekday dinner. Its on the 8th floor of Hotel Katriya and if you get a good seat the view of Hussain sagar will be no less pleasing than the food. Coming to the food, it good enough. The price is a bit high but then good food does give a bit of pocket pinch. An additional 0.5 star for the service.Tip: Try to get a seat on the top most level
It was an impulsive decision to visit the K Sky grill yesterday for a dinner with wife. The place is very close to my home and office but never visited ever before.<br/ We reached there quite early at 7:00 pm and found the staff very welcoming. The place was empty and the 1st view was quite surprising in a pleasant way. It was very serene, the view of the Hussainsagar, the evening quite, no noise, open skies. The 1st impact was good.<br/ <br/ Food: Being an early dinner, we didn't want to eat much well that was the plan! We asked the waiter to suggest starters as I was not too sure of what to order. We went for Murgh Peshawari and it was worth a try! Tender, flavoured chicken with a nice aroma. It was grilled perfectly. We skipped the gravy suggestions and went directly for their famous Kunda (Pot Biryani.<br/ The only glitch happened here was we asked for a mutton biryani and they served us chicken biryani! We realised that soon and checked with the waiter who insisted that it was mutton only : <br/ We were about to end the biryani and as a discussion point between my wife and me, we again asked another waiter to check with the chef if he was sure that it was mutton (though we were sure it was not . <br/ That is when all of them came and realised their mistake and asked for replacement/complimentary dish which we refused.<br/ Coming to the taste the chicken biryani was very different from a typical paradise/bahar biryani. It had a great aroma, right amount of spices and some good pieces.<br/ <br/ Service since we were the 1st and very few guests were there. Service was good. could have been better had they listened to us at the 1st place on the chicken/mutton query.<br/ <br/ Price: A biryani and a kebab set us back by close to 1200 bucks. Not overpriced, but definitely on the higher side.<br/ <br/ Ambience: that was the best part of the evening. The quietness of the lake, at times interspersed with the music that they play, the candlelight feel, open skies All was worth the experience. Lighting cab be better.<br/ <br/ Judgement would go again. an underrated place that provides a differently nice experience.
