Chili's Grill - Santa Fe

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant with a friend, enjoying delicious drinks. The bartender was excellent, and James provided fantastic service. It was a great night out.

We decided to eat here late because we were staying at a hotel across the street and had just arrived in the city. The food was good, but the service was excellent! Andres (who I believe is the manager) was a delight, taking care of our drink orders, providing local recommendations, and even surprising us with a small treat when he found out it was my friend's birthday. I didn't catch the names of our server, but she was also wonderful, as was the woman who seated us. We are regulars at Chili's back home, but we have never experienced service like we did tonight. A big thank you to Andres and the team for a unexpectedly lovely evening!

The service was prompt, although they did not have a soda machine at the time. The waitstaff was average, and I had to remind our waitress for a refill for myself and my father-in-law. Unfortunately, she did not check on us to see if we needed anything else, so I had to go to the bar to get what we needed.

The service at this restaurant could have been better. We waited at the door for about 10 minutes before being seated, and the waitress seemed to blame the customer for any mistakes. Despite some slow service, the issues were eventually corrected. We typically enjoy Chili's, but this was our first time experiencing less than great service at one of their locations. The staff member who eventually took over our food delivery did a fantastic job and was very apologetic for the previous errors. We usually only leave positive reviews, but maybe our waitress was just having an off night. Despite my husband's reservations, we left a generous tip. If we are ever in the area again, we would be willing to give this restaurant another try.

I'm not sure why there is a sign outside indicating that this Chili restaurant will be closing at 6:30 pm instead of their usual closing time of 11pm. It took a while for us to be seated as the staff seemed to be struggling to figure out how to seat the guests. I gave an extra star for our server who was attentive.
