Tomatina Santa Clara

I had to write a review on this restaurant because the food was bad. The Mediterranean salad looked fresh on the plate, but it didn 't taste fresh at all. The Salad tasted Old, like it had been sitting for a long time. The main dish was Mamma 's Spaghetti and Meat Balls and the meat balls were raw (uncooked) in the center of every meatball. I pointed out the undercooked meatballs to the waiter and he refused to replace the meatballs with cooked ones. The waiter seemed to blow me off, telling me matter of factly that he can replace the meatballs on my plate, but that they would be the same undercooked! I didn 't take a picture of the undercooked meatballs (just didn 't think to take a picture), so if anyone who dines here and reads this review doesn 't believe me, well then it 's just my honest review against whatever Tomatina 's story is. I have no reason to leave a dishonest review and the last thing I want to do is ream or disparage a restaurant. The restaurant itself looked clean and spiffy and the waiters were prompt and courteous but I can 't give Tomatino any more than 1 star for serving raw undercooked meatballs. First get the food right!

Overall, the restaurant was just average. The food quality was okay but nothing special. The service was particularly poor, especially considering there was only one other table in the restaurant. Our waitress seemed disinterested and we had to repeatedly ask for menus, drinks, straws, silverware, etc. Each time she returned, something was missing. It took much longer than anticipated to receive everything we needed. Honestly, I don't think I would come back again.

The restaurant has transitioned to ordering via mobile phone instead of using menus, but their wifi was not reliable enough for this process, making ordering a bit of a hassle. Despite this, the food was tasty overall.

The garlic rolls and flatbreads are fantastic. The marinara sauce in the lasagna is delicious. The chopped salad could use some improvement in terms of the dressing, but the portion size is generous. The menu is still using QR codes due to Covid restrictions, but the waitstaff are attentive despite this. The cozy decor and brick ovens add to the overall ambiance of the restaurant.

It was great experience, not too much noise. My friend could not open the menu on his phone so we had to use the paper menu.
