Restaurant bewertenJust 10 mins from the much bigger and busier Cortina, St Vito was my base for the week and I really liked it. Long main street with various shops and hotels/restaurants. Supermarket with good choices. I was at a meeting in the town conference room which was good and free wifi available. Convenient bus service to/from venice airport and onwards to Cortina.
This beautiful village sits above the rushing Boite River with the towering peaks of Pelmo and Antelao soaring overhead. Great base for hiking the many mountain trails. Cortina D’Ampezzo is 10 kilometers north but this is less stuffy and you hear only Italian spoken. Lots of reasonably priced hotels and restaurants.
This litle village offers a vide range of hotels, a ski area, restautants. Short transfere from Venice airport. Nice basecamp both summer and winter to explore the beautiful Dolomites.
Is a must to stay and enjoy What San Vito has to offer. Stay at Parkhotel Ladinia you will be amazed ! Skiing is also very good for families and starters. 11 kms away from Cortina is a super nice and cheaper area to stay. There are free buses to Cortina and slopes of San Vito Di Cadore. Look pictures from the hotel ladinia.
This is a beautiful village right along the main road. Lovely to walk through! The bakery Premiato Panificio Fiori should not be missed. There is also a walking/bike path that connects much of this area and is definitely worth spending some time on.
