Marugame Udon - San Ramon

Delicious! I'm going to the scavenger in la, this was just as good. 10/10. nice to see the line from the door and the support. the staff was friendly and efficient. the food was fresh and tasteful. the line moves quickly for its length?

The line was relatively quick, waited about 30 min on a Thurs night. I've been to the location in west LA, and SF and the line really isn't too bad. Quality is great, on par with the other locations! I like the Nikutama udon cold! I miss the self serve sauce station, but we're living in different times! Plenty of seating with outdoors as well! Good experience!

I decided to check out Marugame Udon at San Ramon's City Center. It would normally have long lines outside and a long wait. But lunch at 3:30pm sounded like a good time to try this latest hotspot in San Ramon. And it did not disappoint. The broth was flavorful, a tad on the sweet side but lots of ginger flavor gives it a mild kick. I tried a couple of their tempura offerings...the best one for me is actually the shrimp. The batter was light and fresh. Definitely will be back.

Fantastic high quality udon in a beautiful new space. Pretty on par with the Berkeley location. If anything, I preferred the softer egg in the nikutama udon vs the harder boiled egg in the tonkotsu.
