Restaurant bewertenI used to eat here before I went vegan, so when they started doing meatless asada, I was stoked and came back in to try it. They have always been really good about avoiding animal products wherever possible. They're rice and beans have always been vegetarian and yet pack flavor. Unsurprisingly, there vegan asada rules. They just know how to cook. It's nice to be able to order something vegan that tastes great rather than just okay. Great work, guys!
No matter what you order at this restaurant, even if you request no lard in the beans, no cheese, and no crema—essentially no animal products at all—your tortillas will still be placed on a griddle saturated with animal fat. It seems impossible to get a truly animal-free meal here. Updated from my previous review on September 2, 2023.
I went there hoping to try the vegan asada, but I should have checked the reviews first to see that it was no longer available. Nonetheless, the veggie burritos we ordered were flavorful and filling, even though they forgot the guacamole that was supposed to come with them. The salsas tasted fresh. Overall, the food was decent but nothing exceptional for vegans.
It was okay, just mediocre. However, we specifically went for the vegan asada, and unfortunately, it's no longer on the menu.
I visited the restaurant hoping to try the vegan asada, but I had to scroll down to find out that it was unavailable. We ordered the veggie burritos, which had a nice flavor and were quite filling, even though they forgot to include the guacamole that should have come with them. The salsa tasted fresh. Overall, it was decent, but nothing exceptional for a vegan meal.
