Restaurant bewertenThis place is the!!! Local, seasonal menus! We come to birthdays and anniversaries or if we find an excuse to celebrate : beautiful local wine selection! Organic food and beverages, tons of GF options and beautiful staff. Quaint and cute!! If you can get their seasonal pheasant risotto, you must!!! Also their halibut and chimichurri are super super super super awesome! awesome!
A true hidden gem. Everything here is fabulous. By far the best restaurant burger I've ever had, from San Francisco, Beverly Hills to San Diego. Avila Beach is where you will find it. Fresh veggies from the garden across the street. Very warm and welcoming staff. We will definitely revisit every time.
Last visited here 20 years ago. We remembered fondly of our experience. This time we went for breakfast on a Tuesday. This probably explained why our food tasted like it was done by a dishwasher on trial for promotion? Maybe we visited on an off day . Unless staying at the property and can 't be bothered to drive, go elsewhere.
Brussels Sprouts appetizer was fabulous and the server was great, but everything else was mediocre. Quinoa cucumber salad was just raw cabbage sprinkled with 1/4 cup quinoa and two tiny slices of cucumber. Soup wasn’t warm, burger just okay.
The burger was great, the fried chicken was terrible! I love a crispy chicken skin but if your going to batter a chicken breast I recommend removing the skin. The chicken had a nice crispy batter but underneath was a slimy layer of chicken skin! Not pleasant what’s so ever! The New York steak was undercooked. The service was ok but the server had to many tables and we were neglected. The hotel, restaurant and hot springs are nice so don’t be discouraged from coming. Hopefully they fix the chicken and it’ll be a great visit for the next guest.
