Restaurant bewertenDefinitiw one of my faves. had the moo kra theim and basilikum chili garlic, yum. a few nights ago were mango and sticky rice in an egg, super tasty.
The service was fast and friendly. My papaya salad was just okay friends enjoyed, but didn't love their meals. The shrimp appetizer was a big disappointment; it was basically standard fare breaded fried prawn. Nothing fresh about it.
We've been coming here for the past 14 years and had always felt welcome and comfortable. We always order 4 to 5 platters to include soup which makes it difficult, cumbersome and uncomfortable to sit at a double top table and always ask for a bigger table. Tonight we were denied by all three senior waiters and were ignored after several requests. It was the worst experience and we spent over $120 as we always do only to eat feeling cramped and uncomfortable. We saw four 4-top tables never used during the time we spent at dinner so its not like we would have taken business away. We will never be returning and will be convincing the over 10 other friends and family that we introduced to this establishment and had also been frequenting for at least the last 10 years not to return either. What a petty reason to lose loyal customers. So ridiculous and unprofessional.
I ordered the Pad Thai $14.95), som tum salad $11.95), and tom kha ta-lay soup size small) $13.95) to-go. Everything was delicious although I'm not sure if the tom kha ta-lay soup was worth it given it's small size. For the price, I would opt for an entree instead. The pad Thai used rice noodles that were thinner than what I'm used to but it was still delicious with a satisfying chew. The shrimp it came with were nice and large. Overall, a satisfying pad Thai! The som tum or papaya salad was delicious as well. I ordered it medium spicy and it was the perfect spice level for me. The papaya is sliced thicker than what I'm used to but still delicious nonetheless. In addition to papaya, the salad also had julienned carrots, a few slices of raw cabbage, a mix of cherry and sliced heirloom tomatoes, peanuts, and a few lime wedges. The tom kha ta-lay soup was delicious with a mix of seafood fish, squid, scallop, shrimp, mussel) and mushrooms. I'm just sad that it's so pricey. I would definitely re-order all the dishes again!
We ordered Pad See- Ew and pineapple fried rice for pick up. Both were tasteless and oily. It's hard to get parking on weekends too. Would never order from here again.
