California Sourdough Eatery - San Jose

Kind of best Sandwich around here as far as I know. Went around busy lunch time and saw a few groups in front of. But it was fast service. Just felt a bit nervous at the counter to get the extra napkins and get some drinks. Probably too busy and a bit tense$14 for sandwich

This is a wonderful deli with fresh out of the oven. Bread, rolls, fresh cut cold cuts, delicious sandwiches very friendly service.

Parking: Ample parking. If you want to be closer to the entrance, park closer to Oakland road because the entrance is on that side of the building on the first floor.Service: The staff is friendly and efficient.Location: Indoor and outdoor seating. Both were clean and well kept.Food: I ordered the pastrami with regular mustard and no red onions. The sourdough bread was the perfect level of crispiness outside and chewiness inside. The pastrami was also very flavorful but not overwhelming. The portion was filling (I ate half for lunch and was full. Eating the whole thing will definitely fill anyone's stomach). The price was reasonable for the quality and portion (my friend paid but I think it was around $16).Definitely will be going back to try their other sandwiches.

This establishment only operates for a few hours each day and is cash-only, but it seems that everyone who visits is well aware of this, so they come prepared. If you're caught off guard, there's an ATM on-site. The bread is freshly baked on the premises, coming out warm, and they use Boar's Head meats, ensuring top-notch quality. I ordered a classic sandwich and received it within minutes. This place runs like a well-oiled machine, sitting snugly in a corner. I've been going to the coffee shop next door for years, completely unaware that this fantastic sandwich spot was so close by. I'll definitely be returning!

Good sandwiches. wish they took card. cash only. I try to go around 11am when they open because I am not a fan of lines lol
