Restaurant bewertenUpon entering, the staff member inquired about any allergies we had and our level of hunger, then promptly began serving us dishes tailored to our preferences, eliminating the need for us to peruse the menu. The food was exquisite, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it feel more like a visit to a friend’s home than going to a restaurant. I can't wait to return when I'm back in San Francisco.
Only got takeout, but so far so good. Delicious couscous with shrimp. Prices are very reasonable and the setting itself is nice. Great quick preparation of the food.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was very inviting, with books to read, spaces to work, and larger tables for groups. I was thoroughly impressed with everything I tasted, and the portion sizes were quite generous. This place is a fantastic escape from the overpriced, overhyped food often found in the city. It's truly a gem and a top-notch establishment.
We went in, the front person asked if we had any allergies, and how hungry we are, and began to serve so without having to look through the menu. the dishes are exquisite, and it feels very warm and welcome as if we visit a friend kitchen instead of going to a restaurant. they are looking forward to a recovery when I am back in sf.
This is a lovely neighborhood restaurant hiding out in the Bayview. You order your food at the counter from a chalkboard menu revised daily. The food has an African influence, seasoned to perfection. I have ordered the salmon on a bed of couscous with steamed spinach at least 3 times and am never disappointed. The jambalaya is also good, and the meat/mushroom meatballs from last night's dinner were great. Seating is either family style or at individual tables, and the owner has a wonderful lending library with magazines and books covering food from around the world.
