This restaurant is inside the lovely Four Seasons Hotel just half a block from the Powell Street MUNI/BART Subway Station in downtown San Francisco. It is easy to get to and you won't be disappointed when you get there. The food was excellent and the service was superb last time I visited this establishment. Price is not cheap but the food and service are worth every dime that you pay. I would recommend it highly

The food was good but not great: the salmon was overcooked, the meat was tasty but not the best cut. Service was very good except the glitch at the credit card machine: we tried two cards America Express and Visa, both were rejected. Had to scramble to find enough cash to pay. Upon checking with the credit companies we found out that there no requests for payment received. Can this happen in an upscale restaurant? In a Four Seasons hotel? Generally, we felt that the cost is higher than the quality of food would warrant. By the way, the restaurant area is closed, the service is in the bar which is much noisier than the restaurant. This was not clear when we made the reservation
