Restaurant bewertenI was introduced to El Indio years ago and it was our stop on the way home to the OC from Sunday Funday. They are known for their Rolled Tacos or as some call them, taquitos. The rolled tacos are fantastic! I have also enjoyed several other items on the menu and all are enjoyable! For those who have followed my reviews you may know how picky I am about my Mexican food since it is one of my absolute favorite foods. When you enjoy food from El Indio you tell that it was made fresh for your order and they make some amazing tortillas to go. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and at least grab an order of rolled tacos! Both the chicken and beef are delicious.
My wife and I did a pick up at El Indio for her birthday. The guy behind the counter was Adrian....Best customer service ever. Food is always great.
I watched two employees from El Indio cuss out and threaten to beat up young couple because they were siting against the restaurant wall (because there were no open tables) eating food from a neighboring establishment. This couple was siting on the ground next to the restaurant enjoying their meal from a neighboring establishment when a women employee from El Indio came out and told them she was calling the cops for trespassing. The couple exchanged some words as they were frustrated asking why they couldn't sit there. This couple was literally sitting on the ground because they were no open tables in an alley way off to the side of the restaurant, they were not blocking or interfering with anything. A another family saw the exchange and offered the couple to sit with them, as they collected their food and started to move a male employee from El Indio came around and started yelling at them and cussing for not listening to his female employee. He followed them to the table and proceeded yell, cuss and threaten to beat them up for disrespecting his employee. The couple probably asked him 20x times to leave them alone as they listened and did exactly what the El Indio employee asked. The El Indio employee proceeded to cuss and tell the couple he would beat their a The couple got up and left without finishing their meal. I have NEVER seen anything like this. I called El Indio to let the manager know what I just saw, he didn't seem to care to much, didn't ask what employees, didn't bother to ask details or anything. I will never return to El Indio and I am sure they scared away a lot of other customers who witnessed this situation.
We always make El Indio a stop when we visit San Diego. The food is consistently good and there's plenty of it. I love this place.
El Indio prepared our lunch for a chapter meeting and it was delicious! They packed and marked all the individual containers and everyone enjoyed the food! Excellent service! Thank you!
