Restaurant bewertenRecommend to come here by our hotel receptionist and wow what a night! Excellent food, excellent service, great atmosphere nothing more to be said.
I had a table of 6 this week and had no idea about this place at all. What I found right out of the gate was really amazing service. I never felt rushed, but always felt like I didn't have to wait to ask for the next thing. Charlie provided our service for dinner, and he not only took care of us but kept the table clean of bread crumbs we all dropped on the table. He also gave us some good suggestions. I went with his idea of having the bolognese. The sauce was delicious, properly seaoned, lightly creamy, with some larger chunks of the critical veggies, and a really tender meat that had some nice larger pieces for a nice experience, and a good amount of smaller grind that worked well with the sauce sticking to the pasta. And the pasta was cooked perfectly. The fries, the bread and dip, all the appetizers we had were great.I'd definitely return and have some more entrees!
Amazing dinner at this cozy restaurant tucked in the hotel. The overall ambiance is understated elegance yet extremely cramped making dinner conversations difficult as the neighboring table is an armlength away. Navigating through restaurant is a bit tight between tables.Susan was our server and although very kind, the time between our bread, salad, appetizers and our entree was not timed quite right. Making our wait unnecessarily long. She also got our order wrong and brought the wrong appetizers and wrong dessert. As we were traveling for business we don't normally complain. The bread served was not complimentary and was served iced cold with an Olive oil Tapenade. It had a bit of sweetness to it, which made it odd but tasty. My scallops were delicious cooked perfect. Yet the charred vegetables served with were lacking flavor and seasoning. My cesar salad was ok and even though Susan stated it was the best copied from the original TJ recipe, it was not as it lacked the actual anchovies to make it truly authentic.A very enjoyable dinner yet would I come back? Probably not, I'd definitely try another Italian restaurant for the $200 price tag for dinner for 2 with 2 drinks.
My third time at this Italian restaurant and it is just as excellent as ever. It is a must when I visit San Francisco. The restaurant is in the St. Andrews hotel (not far from Union Square) and is intimate. The food is delicious and authentic. Portions are large and satisfying. The staff is professional, accommodating and very friendly. I had the minestrone soup (nice chunks of veggies and a great tomato broth) and gnocchi with tomatoes and spinach. Cannot say enough good things about this place.
Had a fantastic meal at Fino! Our waiter was very polite and helpful, and everything on the menu looked amazing.Food: 5/5
