Benihana San Francisco, Ca

This was my second time going to Benihana and both times my chef was Shawn… and he’s horrible. My bf has been going for years and the highlight of the experience is how fun and professional and entertaining the chefs are. We are paying top dollar for the Benihana experience and I’ve missed it twice now. Super disappointed. Please have uncle Beni call me.

Had a 7PM reservation, not space until 7:40 and had not come our chef and start cooking for another 40 minutes afterwards. so until the time of every real eating (non-apps, suppe, etc. wa served it 9pm. I can appreciate that restaurants like benihana can fall a bit behind, but two hours from the reservation time until the actual dinner is well served, is quite likely, the worst service I have ever experienced. to make the things worse even if I asked after 35 minutes in the lobby, no single person seemed worried or even offered the easiest excuse for waiting. I know where I'll never go back.

It was shown 3 minutes early on reservation and then waited 15 minutes to take place. eating was very good, except the scallops of the woman were fishy. the service was okay.

Reservation was for 6:15, but we didn’t get the chef until 7:45. The food wasn’t as good as it usually is either. Steak was heavily over peppered and salted and the shrimp was over cooked.
