Restaurant bewertenLove this place and you eat my favorite pupusas in san francisco.
Great pupusas made super fresh and slapped on the skillet upon order. Put down an online order and it said it'd take about 20 30mins order was ready upon arrival. They're super busy though when I showed up, there were a handful of people waiting outside for their orders and constantly getting phone orders too a good sign of success. We got 3 pupusa plates, each with 2 pupusa beans and rice with steak cheese, pork and cheese, pork and cheese and beans, pork and jalapenos, chicken and cheese, and a duplicate of one of the others. The rice was pretty flavorless but the beans made a yummy dip with the pupusa. It also came with the sauce and pickled cabbage, which I wish there were more of. I was looking on their menu while ordering and albeit they had all the other sides, the cabbage was nowhere to be found did I miss this? I love my pupusas with a ton of cabbage. Not only is it tasty but it helps with the heaviness of the pupusas. At restaurants, I've actually ordered an additional large portion of the cabbage (equivalent to a full sandwich bag). If they don't already have this on their menu, can they add it or do they offer more for free? I felt bad asking when they were already so busy that day. Definitely going to come back!
Excellent food, great pupusas. Vegetarian popular was incredible. Also had some good beer on tap. Not fancy but effective.
Pupusas....Tasty but dry. The pupusas revuelta needed more cheese. The flavor was nice and the lil bit of cheese had a great flavor. The best part of a great pupusa is the extra melted cheese that leaks out the side and fries leaving a crunchy crisp rim
We got pork, chicken pupusas, refried beans, and chicken soup. The pupusas were large and fresh, and the meat inside was flavorful. Not too cheesy at all. The chicken soup came with thick corn tortillas and meat on the bone, steaming hot and with a rich broth. Service was very friendly although the food took a little while to come out. Vegetables in the soup came in giant chucks, which made them slightly unwieldy to eat. Curtido was less spicy than some I've had, with a stronger sour/salty note. Minus a star because the utensils/water glasses etc were all disposable and a little hard to use.
