Restaurant bewertenThis review is for the matcha soft serve ice cream. Perhaps I've been spoiled by all the matcha dessert places popping up in Southern California, but I had been so excited to try their matcha soft serve only to be quite disappointed. Not only was the color of the matcha off (good quality matcha is usually pretty vibrant), I could taste no matcha flavor. I really thought my taste buds were not working so I had my friends try it. They also said the same thing and decided to change their order. You're welcome, you guys. Two of my friends got the Hojicha ice cream and that tasted so much better. It's too bad I didn't want to pay extra to get a dessert that would have tasted better. I sucked it up and finished all of my matcha soft serve. One of my friends didn't quite get the memo and thought ordering the matcha latte would be any different. Same critique as above. No vibrant color and no distinct taste of matcha. I'm not sure if they changed the quality of their matcha somewhere down the line, but seeing how so many people raved about it, it was a pretty big letdown. Maybe I'll try a different flavor other than matcha to give them another shot.
Associate was rude after I inquired about chocolate chips as a topping.
Ordered the matcha and sesame swirl and tasted great. The wait was really short, too. Though there are few flavors, the seasonal ones and all the extra toppings make up for it.
Haven't tried the taiyaki but they have great serves! Matcha and Ube are my go-to flavours but I really wish they had more variety.
Ice cream was creamy and very tasty. The fish cone was crunchy but also soft. How do they do that? Very good experience. Will go back.
