Boto Sushi - San Diego

Great Sushi rolls. Love the UTC and Mizo rolls. Other reviews say there are issues with service. I haven't seen it. I usually sit at the Sushi bar though. Sometimes they give away free sake bombs on Friday nights. This is in my top 5 Sushi places

The new waitresses are so pleasant and warm! Thank GOODNESS the old mean ladies are gone.. My girls I were in the mood for sushi and truthbetold, CRAVING it, so we went there despite our last unimpressive visit gotta say, I am satisfied with the new change in staff.

We had a great sushi dinner at Boto Sushi during their happy hour special which is Monday Thursday 3 8:30 pm and Friday Sunday 3 5:30 pm. Prices were about 30% off of select sushi rolls. We really enjoyed the Albacore Special, Red Dragon, and Scottish Salmon rolls. Our server was friendly, quick, and efficient and made our dinner a nice experience.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Really awful service, really rude, never eat here. Made us wait with an EMPTY restaurant, staff chatting and having fun while not letting us sit down with no explanation. Aggressive interaction with hostess, who only responded we can leave. Unprofessional and unresponsive. I’ve eaten here before and the food is overpriced and unfresh in the first place. So bad it seems like money laundering do you even want customers?? You just lost a loyal family customer.

I ate there by coincidence but was pleasantly surprised to find out they had Happy Hour. Service was excellent, very attentive, and sushi rolls were delicious! Ratio of rice to fish was great. They had plenty of tables/space.
