Porkyland Mexican Grill - San Diego

I recommend the Carne Asada Burrito, the Carnitas Burrito, the Fish Taco, the green salsa and the pico! My daughter and I tried this place for the first time today. It has a nice, relaxed atmosphere and a variety of seating. They have access to an outdoor courtyard too, which is great. The employees were all very kind and they got our order out quickly. The food tastes like homemade. I was impressed with the quality of the meat and the portion size. It feels like a good deal. The green salsa is spicy and delicious. The Pico is a side order, and so worth it. We will definitely be back.

I had the California Burrito. Carne asada, french fries, guacamole, sour cream. I know what you're thinking, french fries in a burrito? It was outstanding! The tortilla was thinner than paper and oh so tasty. This is a counter service establishment. They have a lot of choices and everybody enjoyed what they ordered. My sister said the enchiladas were some of the best she has ever had, and she's from Arizona, so that says a lot! The kid who took our order had loads of personality and was very helpful.

The breakfast burritos were fantastic! We tried the chorizo burrito as well as the speck and egg burrito. The portion sizes were generous, though a bit pricey. The salsa was flavorful and complemented the burritos perfectly, and it was even better paired with the chips.

The carnitas here are excellent, and the tortillas are fresh. Ordering is quick and straightforward, making it a great option for work event catering. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is either fantastic or just plain awful—there's no middle ground. It's disappointing because when it's good, it’s really exceptional. Unfortunately, tonight was a complete letdown. I think I’m done taking chances with this place.
