Restaurant bewertenMy husband and I stayed at the Dana and it was minutes away from our room. Exceptional ambiance when dining at the Firefly. Service was okay took longer than usual to get our drinks and meals. The prices were based on convenience nothing to extravagant. Additionally, i do recommend the breakfast buffet until 11am.
Excellent Breakfast Buffet. Great selection of fruits and a new side every day French toast, corned beef hash. Good make to order omlet bar. Comfortable outside dining. Did not try for lunch or dinner.
You do not need to be staying at the hotel to dine here, and the service is amazing! the people are so kind, chill vibes. it is amazing and i will be recommending this to anyone in the area. The food is THE BEST food i have EVER eaten. immaculate.
We dined here as resort guests and the location is really peaceful and inviting. You get views of the marina and tabletop firepits at some of the seating areas. Our servers were always attentive and friendly, never had any issue with any kind of requests. Our first meal was dinner for our first night. Exhausted and hungry, we were looking forward to a comforting meal. My sister ordered their filet and loved the mashed potatoes and french green beans. My meal unfortunately was super salty on the baked salmon. My chicken tortilla soup lacked flavor and needed the salt that covered the salmon. Not ever a fan of sending things back, but our last meal here, our steaks were so overly cooked and over salted. Our server was kind enough to send them back to the chef. The wine selection was somewhat limited but prices were reasonable given it was resort dining. Breakfast was an option for convenience. The omelette station is great if you prefer a big breakfast and made to order. The breakfast buffet super star were the waffles and french toast. Both were really good and probably the best items besides the baked goods. Bacon and sausage had gotten tough from either sitting long or being overcooked. The oatmeal station could have used some fresh fruit besides brown sugar as toppings. Just as we experienced everywhere else, there is at least a 5% surcharge due to supply chain issues. Overall, if you are looking for convenience and simplicity, the food is decent but really just take in the view and ambience.
Came to the Dana on a day pass. Had the buffet breakfast, which tasted good for a buffet. Service was slow then as well, and they didn't give us the discount for the meal that we had in our day package. but they were nice. We then went there for lunch. I'm not joking when I say that the staff actively ignored us. I sat and watched every staff member look at us and walk away. We were there with menus waiting for 20 or so minutes before we left. I bet the food is good, and I'm sure the staff are nice. To bad we didn't even get to try. If you choose to come to The Dana, I simply can't recommend that you rely on the Firefly for any of your regular meals. San Diego had amazing food and wonderful service just outside of the hotel. Go to those places. Restaurants are all about the service. No matter what else is good about it, if the service is lacking, then you might as well eat at home or go to a cheap diner. Oh and I don't accept any excuse of understaffing or any of that trash. If you can't afford the staff to operate a smooth business, you should just close down.
