Restaurant bewertenThis place serves meat but it has 3 vegan ramen options, which is way more than I’m used to for Omni ramen restaurants. I tried the curry ramen with mock duck and it was absolutely delicious. I was very pleasantly surprised. Very flavorful and well rounded. The mock duck had the right amount of crunch and chewiness and it was very well seasoned. The broth was delicious. My Omni husband tried mine and his reaction was “oh wow.” He called it amazing, which is saying a lot for someone who thinks vegan food sometimes lacks flavor and depth (boo! . We’re visiting SD for a few days, and we stopped by on our way back to the hotel from LEGOLAND. We got it to go, so I can’t speak for the sit down experience. Staff were nice and the wait was short. We loved this place so much, we will be returning before we go home. Highly recommend! Edit: came back and tried a few other things.. all amazing! But the golden curry ramen remains my absolute favorite. Highly recommend! Updated from previous review on 2020-01-03
Though they have managed to make their menu more confusing to figure out what is vegan, the vegan options here are solid. Plus they are the only ones who do mock duck in ramen. Updated from previous review on 2020-02-26
Had the shoyun ramen with mock duck and the vegan ramen here. Both were good but the shoyun was a bit salty and There was too much of the mock duck, I would have preferred more veggies.
Nice little Ramen place with a comfortable setting and delicious food! We went in for a quick lunch and tried out the Garlic Chicken Karaage, Tahini Old School Ramen and a Milk Green Tea drink. All items came out hot, accurate, fast and tasted good ?.. try this place out before the word gets out to the USD students or you may not find a seat! I'll be back..
Ordered the Spicy Red Buta and Crazy Garlic. Both were delicious, good portion sized. Garlic had plenty of garlic and delicious broth. The Red Buta was spicy, but just in flavor. Both had pork belly which melted in your mouth. Also had the Avocado Tempura, which was so good that I didn't even take a photo. Highly recommend if you love Avocado!!! The only thing we didn't care for was the Gyoza. It was crunchy and hard, didn't have much flavor
