Restaurant bewertenSuper cute establishment. My cappuccino was perfection. My sister's avocado toast was really disappointing. The bread/toast itself was wonderful. However, the avocado part was just mashed up, overripe avo with a sprig of mint. Unfortunately, we got it to go. It should have been sent back.Food: 4/5
Nice outdoor space but basically in an alley with light traffic. Great on a sunny day. Great indoor space for kids. Probably the best brunch spot and cafe in San Carlos. Interesting coffee options and high quality food make up the menu.Vegetarian options: High quality egg and fresh fruit options. Excellent if you're looking for waffles.
This is a very cute spot for breakfast or lunch! We ordered the seasonal creme brulee latte which was alright, and the cherry blossom with coconut milk which was fantastic. We also had the tea tower to split between the two of us- it was the perfect amount of food for 2 people and a great way to try a lot of menu items! The ricotta and tomato toast and the chicken curry toast were standouts.
Such a cute little cafe for a quick meal. The inside is adorable and all the items we got were just as tasty as they were pretty. The service was pretty quick too, we got all of our food within 5-10 mins of ordering. If you're contemplating what drink to get, the hibiscus mints lemonade was absolutely amazing!! I do wish that the soup was actually a little warmer but overall good.
Mints Honey in San Carlos was a cute place to meet up with friends for a light lunch and coffee and tea. The ambiance has that kitschy, but charming homey vibe lots of indoor tables and a small outdoor patio with a few tables. The tables have little signs asking patrons to limit their seating time to 1 hour. Street parking was a bit tricky on a Saturday afternoon. One of us braved the hotel only parking in the back. There is a Trader Joe 's about a block away with a parking lot. You order first and get a number and your silver wear to take to your table. Other than getting your food brought to you, there 's really no wait service. The staff were nice and friendly, but got my husband 's drink order wrong twice. He ordered a 24 oz milk tea with boba, and it first came in a ceramic mug, and then came in a 24 oz to go cup but it was missing the milk part. Other than that, the beverages were pretty tasty. I ordered a soy latte that came in a charming coffee mug and tasted great. The butterfly lemonade was beautiful, tart, and refreshing. The lychee tea was also very tasty and sufficiently lychee 'd. The food was so so overall. It 's a smart business plan to limit food options to just toast/sandwiches and waffles with varied toppings. My son ordered the waffle sampler, and thought it was just mediocre and sounded better on the menu than it was in actuality. The waffles got soggy very quickly. My husband and I shared a MH Tea Tower with the toast sampler which came on a three tiered serving platter. The desserts on top were just OK nothing special or memorable. The meat quiche was probably the star of the tea tower well seasoned with bacon throughout and a light flaky pastry crust. The toasts were decent, but again nothing special we picked egg salad, curry chicken salad, tuna salad, and salmon avocado. Most of the toast options comes with an up charge $3.20 for ~half ounce slice of smoked salmon and mashed avocado) , which makes the overall tea tower not a great value for what you 're really getting. It 's mostly for the spectacle of the 3 tiered platter. So, 3 stars: one star for cute ambiance and friendly staff one star for the great latte and tasty drinks one star for the quicheI think it 's worth coming back for a cute place to hang out and grab a snack and a coffee drink, but you 'd most likely get a better bang for your buck elsewhere for lunch and brunch options.
