Janetta is a sweet lady and such a hard worker. Food is delicious, I love the bbq brisket and yams are dying. Very recommended

It was my first time ordering food from here I called it in and my friend picked it up for me I seen all the good reviews and was set on I had to try it! Than I seen the bad reviews right but knowing me I’m hard headed lol and once I want something I have to have it so I tried it! And, I must say my food was really good 5 stars for sure. So I ordered the Green’s mac cheese black eye peas and rice and fried okra! I Favorites is the fried okra and Green’s everything is good

The food was great! I had the pull chicken sandwich, but did not eat the bread. The Mac Cheese was cheesy and the collard greens was on point! The barbeque sauce has tasted so sweet, as homemade barbeque would had tasted. I did not care for the cornbread, in which my colleague had order. I had a little sample of her cornbread. The cornbread was not tasty like cake, in which how my mother use to cook it in the cast iron skillet. The service was a little slow, but as I had notice, it a busy little place. Very, very popular with all types of people. It was interesting to always see people in different cultures that like soul food. My colleague had meet a older lady who real name is not Carrie's, as name of the restaurant. But had decided to take on the name since the male relative was to sick to carry on with the resturant. The name is after the grandmother, if I am not mistake?

Had some beef tri tip with Mac and cheese and yams. All really good. Main course tri tip was great. Very tender meat. Excellent flavor. Mac n cheese was pretty good. Nice and light with a good amount of melted cheese. And if you like really sweet yams then get some yams. Wouldn't mind coming back to eat here every once in a while.
