Restaurant bewertenI had great hopes on this place, based on the reviews, but we were a little disappointed. We sat outside, which had a great view of the Pearl area. The service was slow, very slow. It was hard to get drinks and refills for water. We tried the frog legs, they were good, but expensive for what you get. They? Famous pressure Fried Chicken? was TERRIBLE! Under seasoned and hard / zigig. How do you screw fried chicken? What a DISAPPOINTMENT! The grottos were good, so was the grain bread.
Very nice restaurant and brewery. We visited here on a Saturday at 5 p.m. and there was no seating inside so that they accommodated us outside on the terrace. We had the frog legs, burgers, roasted chicken with one side of Mac n cheese and the seafood salad. Everything was really good. For my personal taste, the salad was a bit expensive $27) for the seafood/letter ratio. But otherwise everything was great. The beers were delicious and brewed there. Our server Stephon was super nice and made our visit pleasant and pleasant.
Service level is always the same excellent! I have always visited Brunch, and this time came late in the evening for oysters and salads. The staff is very knowledgeable and knows the oysters! Life on the east coast, I love the choices that are briny. Frozen drinks are not my best choice, but I love their frozen Rosè. The fried chicken is absolutely delish. I am more of a health-conscious food and rarely in fried foods. Southerleigh is my exception!
It was our first time here and also our first anniversary that we have stated in the reservation and also called my MIL in advance to ensure that we get a free dessert and champagne for the special occasion. We didn't get that. Apart from that, the food was delicious and the service was fast.
The staff makes this place! They?re fun, knowledgeable and attentive. We had the oysters which were terrific, and I had the steak salad. The steak was a little chewy but nothing I?d send back. They only serve beer, wine and hard cider. The menu is mainly seafood so be ready. It?s a laid back crowd but there is a fine dining element to this spot. The decor is fantastic. Built in the 1890?s, the rustic feel has been maintained.
