Royal Pizza - San Antonio

If you're in search of a great pizza and pasta place, Royal Pizza is the perfect choice. I had a craving for pasta, and the lunch special—$9 for a generous serving of spaghetti with rich meat sauce and a salad—tasted like it was made at home. The gyro, pizza rolls, and baklava were also delicious. I plan to come back next time for the pizza. The restaurant is clean, has friendly service, and offers fantastic lunch specials—truly a gem in the local area.

This pizza is quite unique. The sauce is excellent, with a slightly peppery kick that I haven't tasted before. The crust is on the thinner side, and unlike a New York-style pizza, it doesn't have that crunchy texture or char. The texture is still good, but I think it's the same bread-like dough they use for their sandwiches. I would rate this place a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale,' detailed below: - 5 out of 5 stars: Come to Jesus good. I'd be fine passing away after finishing a meal here. - 4 out of 5 stars: Come to Mary good. I'd be happy to have a bite here with Mother Mary. - 3 out of 5 stars: Come to Joseph good. It would be alright to enjoy a beer here with Jesus' Dad. - 2 out of 5 stars: Come to the Apostles good. It's average; I wouldn't choose this for my last supper. - 1 out of 5 stars: Come to Nobody good. I wouldn't want to have my second-to-last supper here, either.

Last week, I had the vegetarian pizza, and it was amazing! This week, I tried the gyro and fries. While the gyro was just alright, the fries were absolutely delicious.

Excellent food and fantastic service. Lazy Sunday afternoon motorcycle ride and I got hungry. The place was empty when I arrived but busy when I left. Gyro was excellent and fries were as well. The man working the register seemed to be alone but handled it all and gave everyone the high points of the restaurant's acclaim and awards while they chose their food. I'll definitely be back!

Hot diggity dog this place was a GREAT find!! Great staff. Always SUPER nice and energetic. The food tho? FANTASTIC!! Their pizza blew me away. Very tasty and baked well. Definitely one of my top pizza places in town. They actually bumped a spot off my top 3 list. If you haven't tried them go try them out. Try everything. Even the desserts his wife makes from scratch. Great place.
