Restaurant bewertenNo elite check-in. waited over 39 minutes to check. elite wxpwrience and general experience ever in each anwesen. the personal was also rude. would not recommend to come here in summer. crowded and dirty guests. instead go to Hyatt list needles in bastrop.
The hotel is quite lovely. Be prepared for a bit of a walk from the parking area to your room, unless you opt for valet service, which costs $42 per night. The restaurants offer delicious food and drinks. The water park was enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.
The pool servers were consistent and frequently checked in on us (we particularly loved the piña coladas). Everything was clean, and the scenery was beautiful. It can be challenging to find lounge chairs in the middle of the day, but with people coming and going, a little patience usually pays off. Typically, we eat breakfast and dinner at Cibolo Moon (we recommend going earlier to avoid long waits). The portions are generous, so we sometimes share meals. One of our favorite activities is making s'mores, available from 7-9 PM, which the kids absolutely love. It’s a delightful way to unwind after dinner while enjoying the stunning views of the Hill Country. Our rooms were comfortable and clean, providing ample space for drying off after wet adventures. A special shoutout to James, who showed us a shortcut from our room to the water park, and to Daisy at the front desk, who assisted us with activities! While the resort prices can be a bit high, the experience is worth every penny, especially with the water park included. We appreciated the free parking and the convenience of dining within the resort. We look forward to returning to this wonderful place next year!
On the positive side, the resort and all its amenities are very clean and well-maintained. However, there were several negatives during our latest visit. The check-in process was lengthy and disorganized, and our rooms weren't ready on time. Additionally, the sink in our room was clogged, and the rooms themselves are in need of significant updates. Regarding the dining experience, the meal at the 18 Eggs restaurant was just okay. The steaks were overcooked and tough on the outside, while our group preferred the side dishes over the main courses. The breakfast at Cibolo was overwhelming and has changed significantly compared to our previous visits, with cold coffee served alongside it. Velocity was the worst experience of all; the medium-sized burgers were cooked rare, and the wait for chicken strips and hot dogs lasted an hour. Overall, we ordered a lot of meals, and most of us found ourselves wishing that a Chili's was nearby, as their food is decent. We are not planning to return, as the experience felt overpriced, with unhappy employees, and the food was the most disappointing aspect of our visit.
We loved the resort. Spacious and clean rooms. Great amenities and food. The only downside was to go over Spring Break. It took hours to be seated. But that's expected. We will be back on a lesser busy period.
