Restaurant bewertenGood food. The Junkyard is our fav it has good sandwiches, great soup, pasta make your own combo, tapas items, noodle and rice bowls, and a complete compliment of beer and wines. I lived in Salmon for over 30 years and this place, together with Bertrams, is the best in Salmon. You're both great! For Dessert, an earlier reviewer said to stroll down the road to Odd Fellows Bakery. You have beautiful desserts, but you need to be there before closing time (which varies seasonal).
Great Option for a Small Town. Salmon is a small town, so the dining options are limited, but the Junkyard is a great choice. The menu is creative, affordable, and tasty. They have a variety of sandwiches such as muffaletta, smoked salmon, and a fantastic burger. They also have pasta options, salads, and rice bowls. The food is always fresh and prepared well. This is also a nice place to have a glass of wine in the evening (it's a change from the dive bars that abound in Salmon). After you've eaten, make sure to walk down the street to Oddfellows bakery for some dessert.; they have the best pastry I've ever tasted!
Had an excellent grilled sandwih and really really good creamy and spicy tomato soup for lunch. Good artwork and good not too loud music. All in all, a surprising and great find.
The food was good, the delivery of the food was ON point and the back patio was very nice with all of the heaters. This is a dog friendly restaurant but only outside, which was fine for us. From the back patio you can see the mountains which was also nice. The only alcohol they sell are canned, but a good selection.
If you're in Salmon Idaho this is a must. Had the BS burger with potato salad (in my top 5 burgers). Wife had Bahn MI sandwich she said it was great. We also got homemade 2 different cheese cake Oreo and double chocolate.
