Restaurant bewertenThis restaurant was recommend and reserved for us by our hostess at the Chateau we were staying at. It was a Monday night, which might have been a contributing factor, but in saying that, as France seems to close on Mondays, I would have expected more diners. There were only 2 people there when we arrived, locals, and we were the only other ones there. The cafe (that is the only name I can give it) had a menu of the day for € 12, and an a la carte menu on a blackboard. The chef came to explain what the menu was, and proceeded to tell us that most of it was actually not available. There was a choice of 2 starters (farmer style pate and marine pearl salad with trout eggs), one main course (Osso Buco with carrots 2 styles) and 3 desserts (one of which was off the menu). The a la carte menu had 6 items on it, 5 of which were not available. Considering that nothing else was open, or even nearby, we decided to stay (overdressed, as we were told it was a restaurant, not a village cafe) and have the menu. The food came out quickly (too quickly) and was at the most edible, but overcooked, and not that tasty. The desserts were as usual in these places mass produced pre-packed, and actually the tastiest thing of the meal. No atmosphere at all, big TV 's on the wall showing the news, and the chef seemed a bit peeved when we did not eat all the food (which would have been understandable had it been a Michelin starred restaurant, which it definitely was not). Can not recommend.
Very mediocre kitchen, service is slow. The dishes are poorly presented. too much sauce covers the meat.
The terrace and the welcome are rather nice for a stop on the road.On the other hand, for the kitchen it is to make fun of the world: menu at 12 euros certainly economical but everything is directly out of the can and the meat (bavette) very limited.Dessert also bought at the patisserie du Leclerc. To take a drink but I recommend to pass its way if it is for lunch.
Very good small restaurant on the Place de Saint-Pierre le Moûtier facing the church. the reception is very nice and the value for money is very interesting. To recommend !
I stopped on a Sunday noon eating in this restaurant (I would say rather bar that makes a few dishes, but no worries with that.) friendly staff. the menu at 12€ with input, dish and dessert is really cheap but the dish did not tempt me (blue chord or spicy chicken sleeves at the choice.) I took a burger-frites that seemed right (see my photo) at 15€. or, the burger is not great, the sauce is the burger sauce that we find in supermarket, the meat must come too, it did not give a good burger. It's all there, but nothing's fine. I make better with less ingredients at home (though I'm not a super cook). This burger is worth 10€ for me, no more than 15, the bread came from the supermarket as well. the same with the products of the butchery, bakery would be ideal. So I'm making a poor opinion. ;)
