Restaurant bewertenFill good space for a fast BBQ. Definitely with the pull pot sandwich. It is not thin-cut pork, but well rugged/hard-drawn pig. Melt in your mouth tender. The bride is good, tender with a small train. I think I could use more smoke. The ribs I had were dry, little meat and not tasteful. Try the worst meat option I had. Overall the service was notch and the food comes fast.
Excellent pulled pork and brisket sandwiches and a selection of barbecue sauces at the table and tasty sides as well (tried the mac and cheese and beans). The atmosphere is fun, too. Fitting music and decor round out an excellent first dining outing here. Will definitely be back again.
Southern Barbecue in the northern suburbs. I ordered just meats: brisket and ribs. Both were excellent, smoked well, nicely seasoned, moist but not too fatty. I tried three sauces. Chicago Fire was good but maybe more spicy than I want on barbecue. Southern Gal was too sweet. Chicago Blues was just right for me. Very good overall. I will return the next time I'm in the neighborhood.
Smells AMAZING as soon as you go into the door, it's hard not to get hungry immediately. Love the wings, order them sauceless, so you can add any of the sauces on the table as you go. Hard to choose a favorite.
The food was just okay. I tried the two meat plates. Pig meat and brisket. The meat was tender, but tasteless. The brisket tasted like a regular roast from the oven. The Mac and the cheese were good. Hot, very cheesy and nice crunchy. I feel like they could increase the Mac and the cheese by adding Smokey baby bits and they have a signature page. Corn bread was good too.
