Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Saint Louis

I find it difficult not to give a high rating to an almost fast food restaurant. You know what you're getting, fewer surprises. My weakness is crispy chicken sandwiches. The chicken sandwiches at Popeyes are among the best almost fast food options, in my opinion. You won't be disappointed if you give them a try!

I often visit this Popeyes location during the day, but yesterday I went later in the afternoon, around 7pm. They were mostly out of all their sides except for fries, had no dipping sauces, and were out of certain chicken parts. The manager's children were in the lobby, with one of them running around. The kitchen staff were not wearing hair nets. Additionally, the employees working the register were also preparing food. One worker had a cigarette behind his ear, and the drive-thru worker began cursing at a customer. When I arrived, the manager was upset about a customer, and when I left, the manager was arguing with a customer. It was total chaos, and the worst part was my food. It was cold, and I found red hair in my fries. The lady working the register, who had red hair, was not wearing a hair net. My chicken sandwiches were overcooked, hard, greasy, and cold. I wish I could give this restaurant 0 stars.

Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is a great place for families and children. I often see kids there. Parking: There is ample parking available. In addition to the immediate lot, there is plenty of parking in the extended plaza lot surrounding the restaurant.

I attempted to order food from this restaurant yesterday. The parking lot was crowded, and when I joined the drive-through line, I was the 5th car waiting to order. However, after 5 minutes, the line had not progressed at all. As people were unable to leave the parking lot due to the blocked drive-through line, some of us decided to leave the line. I parked my car and observed for a few minutes, but only one car moved forward during the 10 minutes I was there.

Lobby was closed, so I went thru drive thru. There were children crying in the background. The line moved super slowly. And when i got to the window the staff looked like they hated being there. I love Popeyes but chose not to purchase anything on this trip, bc would it even be cooked right or proper food handling be followed?Food: 3/5
