Restaurant bewertenI was not expecting this place to be this cool. So many unique facets to this awesome restaurant! The tiny booths, fun candy displays, old school table side jukeboxes! So much fun! Plus the food was a huge hit with our whole group. 1000% kid friendly! I had the egg salad sandwich and the Swiss chocolate sundae! My pro tip dip your chips into your sundae… sweet and salty. Perfection! Would highly recommend!
I can’t get enough of this place! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is truly vintage, and the staff is so friendly and fun. Find a friend who will share a plate with you so you can order 2 sandwiches (one must be the BLT) any then finish it with a fresh banana milkshake. You can even get candy to go. And the owners are wonderful and generous people. Heaven.
A hidden gem worth the hype! Tin ceiling tiles, vintage wall art, table top jukeboxes, and a huge antique display cabinet and shelves full of homemade chocolates and candies Crown Candy Kitchen will take you back in time and keep you coming back for more. We arrived around 11:30am and found street parking on the block. If you are not familiar with the parking meters, you may want to download one of the parking apps ahead of time (we used ParkMobile . Near the shop entrance, there were two signs directing where to stand in line for dine in and for carry out. There was no line and we were asked to seat ourselves. There are a limited number of booths which I expect fill very quickly. Due to the size and style of the booths, they could be challenging for some to get in and out of. I did not see accessible seating. The menu (see pic is short and sweet. No fuss, just good, solid sandwiches. Our group of 3 ordered Turkey Bacon Melt (this was the favorite! , Roast Beef Cheddar Melt (delicious, thick sliced roast beef yum! , and Chicken Salad sandwich (a little bland but overall good . The sandwiches are served with potato chips and a pickle spear. You will want to save room for dessert. They make their own ice cream (also used to make their famous shakes and malts . The chocolate malt was undoubtedly the BEST chocolate malt I have ever had. Or ever dreamed of having.
My sister Took me here back in the early 1960’s and this past summer my brother and nephew and his wife had lunch love this place. Crown candy kitchen St.Louis best ever.
I can't stop laughing at the absurdity of this meal. I came here for the first time 4 years ago and am so glad it's still here. Heart attack BLT and a chocolate malt for $20 and worth every penny.
