The New Atrium - SAFETY BEACH

This place is literally 5 minutes from our house, we moved into the area in January and "The New Atrium" has become our "local". We usually eat early and have always had a great experience here - Ted (the owner) is very present in the dining area and it's great to have a chat with him. Coming early, the atmosphere is always so relaxed and enjoyable - and the food is outstanding.Tonight, we were a little later - arrived around 6.15pm, and the place was packed ! Great for business, but we hesitated to stay as we a) were concerned as to how long the wait would be for our food, and b) we wanted quiet, and with the amount of children running around the place, we didn't think we would get it.Credit to the lady who seated us, who directed us to the bar area where we were the only people - so it was nice and quiet. Plus, she told us that the food was coming out quite quickly, despite the amount of people.True to her word, our food came out in an acceptable amount of time and it was, as always, very tasty. Hubby usually has the porterhouse, but tonight opted for the scotch fillet - which, whilst cooked perfectly, was a little chewy and fatty. Will stick to the porterhouse next time. I had my usual "seafood board", which was outstanding - as always !Having "steak night" and kids "half price" on the same night, probably doesn't suit some with the amount of people and the noise of the kids - but we were greatful to be able to be seated away from all the commotion and we did get our meals relatively quickly. Just for atmosphere, we would probably either come earlier (like we usually do) or come on a different night without the "specials".In short, Ted is doing a fantastic job with this place. The new chef is excellent and pricing is awesome. It's so great to see a local place doing so well. We will continue to visit.....again and again and again

Food was great, good menu to choose from , served very quickly, generous servingssadly staff a little stand offish, no personality : Atmosphere and entertainment was good. Bit chilly in beer garden, but management says heating & blinds being installed for sunday afternoons in Beer garden, hasn't put us off we will go again. give the owners a chance to get a business up and successful Rest rooms were clean

It's been a while since we visited The Atrium even though we are locals! After a recommendation we decide to go for another visit. Three generations and we all enjoyed it! The Seniors meal was quite adequate, the pasta was good and the grandchildren loved the playground and their meal (especially the icecream!). I think the atmosphere could be improved with some suitable background music, the service was excellent and we received a nice welcoming smile. We will be back!

Walk ins for dinner. Friendly staff great venue and we turned up on steak night. Choice of 4 steaks from 18 to 22 dollars, tried one plus a carbonara. Excellent food large serves couldn't pick a fault tonight, we will be back for sure

Was very disappointed we had the smaller room which was ok but why all the TVS were on made no sense. The family had paid for teas and coffee when I asked for a tea was told to go and order it and pay not impressed at all
