Restaurant bewertenIt was very busy on a Wednesday night, so I had high hopes. The service was good, it took a while for our sushi to come out but it was expected as it was a full house. Nonetheless, our server was attentive. The restaurant has maybe 10 tables at most inside and a sushi bar to sit at. The sushi rolls were okay. They weren't very good or bad. I probably wouldn't come back here. The bill for 4 sushi rolls and uni (2 pieces) was about $100. It's fairly priced but had higher expectations due to good reviews and the busy setting.
We went on a Friday evening thinking maybe the wait wouldn 't be too bad since all the parties starts on the weekends lol.Upon entering the door, we weren 't sure how to approach since this was our first time dinning into Sushi Q. We waited for a good minute, looking pretty d xD LOL. There were people seated by the bar area and dinning tables so I thought there has to be a waiter/waitress lurking somewhere. Finally, after standing by the door area for 5 minutes, I went over and asked one of the chefs if we were suppose to wait here or sit down at any available tables. 1 out of 4 responded to wait to be seated. Ok, cool. But at least address that to us when we arrived at the door? Can 't assumed people who arrived at the door to be regulars or whatever excuses they have to not informed us of what the procedures are at Sushi Q. We made several eye contacts with the chefs at the bar area and vice versa so I don 't understand why a simple let out a waiter/waitress will be there to assist you be so difficult?Anyways, we finally got seated. The waitress we had was very kind and friendly. We ended ordering two beer and three sushi. Not long after more customers came in to dine and some opt for the bar area. This is where it got super questionable. We noticed quite a few of take outs by the bar area (10-15 orders). As we waited, the customers at the bar were being service super quick. In addition, we waited over an hour and 30 mins to get our food...we ordered 3 sushi that day...it shouldn 't have taken that long? Some of the people who came later got their food right before us. I kid you not, the wait was excruciating long. The waitress did apologize for the wait of course but to me it seems like service was shifted toward more for the bar area and take outs and not some much for the dining tables. When we got our food 3 sushi, other foods were coming out after so that was a bizarre turn around..Food wise, delicious. We enjoyed the fish and the sauce. Bomb.com roll had the insanity sauce but it lacked the insanity heat. Maybe next time, if I were to dine in again, I 'll request they add more heat because I wasn 't feeling the heat at all.Overall, 3 out of 5 star is fitting given the circumstances for that day.
They f forgot us. Let me give you the timeline.Come in and seated right away, roughly 5:15pm.two ladies sit at the bar to our right around 5:20We order maybe 5:25.Family sits down behind us to our right, 5:40Family sits down in front of us 5:50Ask waiter to check on our order at 6.Every one of these groups got their food. When the family who sat in front of us around 5:50 gets their order brought to their table before we do we've had enough. We leave at 6:08pm.Tell me they didn't just straight up f forget about us and had us sitting there for f forever.Fucking terrible. They don't get paid enough to deal with my s so we just left without a word. But I'm not paying to be treated like air either.
Best tip: get here early for dinner! Excellent quality fish and good selection of choices. Friendly service and prices are within reason.
Came here on a weekend for dinner, it was pretty empty so we got seated immediately. We got the agedashi tofu appetizer and 3 rolls. The agedashi tofu was surprisingly good. It comes out piping hot and the sauce it's paired with complements it well. It was a bit messy to eat since the bonito flakes fall off easily. The rolls here are pretty unique compared to other sushi places, but they are a bit heavy handed with the sauces. Sushi Q roll was very tasty. Only note is that there is a spicy pepper in the middle of it that has quite a kick to it. Black Ops roll is more of a basic roll. I appreciated the presentation with the avocado layered on top. Most other sushi places just put it inside. Overdose roll is very unique since it is soy wrapped and deep fried. This one was very tasty too and the fish inside was practically cooked. Overall a decent spot for some good sushi.
