Restaurant bewertenI'm really not a fan of taverns or pubs, but Harvey Road Tavern is differentThe service is great and it was a much nicer experience than I expected.
This is a place I've been wanting to go for a very long time and kept putting off for some random reasons.
Food was not cooked to our request and we had to go find where the deserts were as the rest of the order was forgotten. Not impressed with customer service from other staff - the guy that seated us was fantastic as well as the face painter Not sure we would choose to return soon
Have visited twice now for lunch. The first time I ordered a graziers beef pie which was beef slow cooked in gravy with a pastry pie and served with mash potatoes, mushy peas and gravy. This was comfort food at its best. Thoroughly enjoyed it so much, on my next visit I ordered it again. Very filling also. Hubbie had the bourbon pork ribs which were fall off the bone tender and delicious. Enjoyed our lunches here. Seems to be consistent. Will have to revisit and maybe try the steaks next time.
My family and I come here every now and then (not so much with the latest menu changes). Today it was just my daughter and I, she had the pie which she enjoyed and I had the 300 grm rump with vegetables and chips with mushroom sauce. The steak was fine, the vegetables cooked nicely (I prefer them a little softer) however they were sitting in a cm of water and I didn't realise until I went to tip them onto my plate thus drenching my few chips in cold veggie water . The mushroom sauce was very thin but tasted ok. Coming here used to be really enjoyable until the last few months, especially with a few mouths to feed, but not so much anymore. It's sad.
