Stephanie's Barbecue Ii - Roselle Park

We try to visit a new (to us) Portugese type bbq spot every so often. We've driven past this place hundreds of times on our way to and from Warinanco Park. These type of restaurants are everywhere. Most are mediocre, serving up large portions of grilled meats, fries, rice and beans. For us, Nunzio's in Vauxhall is the benchmark by which all these spots are judged. At Stephanie's, a large rib order contains several decent ribs with the balance of the order filled out with bizarrely butchered scraps, rib segments and membrane filled with connective tissue, gristle. The standout item for us were the fries. Hand cut. Delicious. Service for us was at odds with the balance of these reviews. Very friendly. That, and the fries pushes this review from two stars to three. Another spot ticked.

Small serving, they will cut the ribs in half to look a lot.. service- they don't consider the time of other people, I was just picking up, food were ready, the lady cannot focus on one thing, took her 15 minutes to ring me. A pick up order.... Pre ordered!!! To be fast and easy!!

Food is ok but the workers and owners are just rude and unprofessional ! No customer service skills at all and their prices are high for the amount of food u get ! Would not recommend this place for Portuguese food at all !

I'm just going to say, it was dang yummy. I ordered BBQ chicken (perfectly seasoned, no sauce needed, and a Portuguese sausage, along with rice and black beans. I ordered it through Doordash, and it was prepared quickly by the restaurant and arrived at my door hot.
