Restaurant bewertenWe live in Rome since 2008,and we are always in search of a good amatriciana . After eating the original in Amatrice, we became very picky about it, besides we like to go and support the local business, but, it takes 2 hours to get to the little town, and traffic to get out of Rome sometimes it is really bad. Recently, we were checking on waze the trip time, and for the second time the name of the 'Amatrice ' restaurant came up. So we decided to try it. We got there really early and without a reservation, but there was room for us. The place was just starting to fill up. There is a little bit of history to read about it, the building is well preserved, the people are friendly. The owner originally from Amatrice keeps a replica (he built) of the clock tower close to the cash, like it was before the earthquake. Go there really hungry, the size of portions is very big. The 'amatriciana ' is really good and so it is the 'gricia ' the 'guanciale ' was deliciously cooked. We had fried hartichokes too, they were very good and not greasy. It is worth it to try, prices are in line with the offer. Sometimes gets a little slow, when the place starts getting crowd, but even if it is late is worth the wait.
Great Family run restaurant , made us feel very welcome couldn't do enough for us. By far the best meal all holiday.
Finally a proper Roman restaurant that offers good quality food and traditional dishes at the same time. The large buffet style table with the starters is enough to fill you up. The artichokes (Giudia and Roman style) are TO DIE FOR! The pasta dishes were huge and didn 't disappoint and we were so full that we didn 't make it to anything else! The atmosphere retains the Trattoria style that is so typical of Rome, in a historical and rustic building. Quick service, Trattoria style (so friendly but spartan) and perfectly affordable prices. Not in the city centre but still worth going again. Ideal for groups.
The classic Roman osteria. an excellent experience, you eat well and you spend the right, not to say little.
A small osteria in a vicoletto di roma. not very elegant, true. but when you taste the first Romans you will be exterminated. staff.very nice and polite. I'll go eat them every time I come to roma
