Lakeside Hideaway - Rockaway

My husband and I are in Rockaway Beach for the first time and are hungry. We Googled restaurants serving breakfast. We opted for Lakeside Hideaway based on several reviews from several restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We are very happy. Our waitress worked alone on a moderately busy Saturday morning. She was thrilled to offer every customer a smile, although she could say that she was exhausted. I didn't catch her name, but she deserves a lot of praise for all her hard work! My husband asked her to hang a flyer for a missing girl #oakleycarlson) in our district where we live in WA. She was happy when she got a moment. The prices were very fair and the food was delicious. We'd like to be down here next time.

Great food, from a local restaurant! Although they are a little short staffed right now, the waitress Lauren did an amazing job! She was very friendly and made everyone feel welcome even though she was juggling so many orders. I would definitely recommend!

What a hidden gem. The waitress was on point with her recommendations. Food was F'ing good! Returned: Fiance and I had dinner on Friday and Breakfast today (Saturday Feb 26th) Everything is still fantastic. The service, the food. The VIEW... Had a great time talking to the folks who live in the area and we will most certainly be back again soon. Don't pass this place by if you are in the area...

Very nice mom pop restaurant so happy we stopped by. The one and only waitress was very nice and was able to help all guests all by herself. The chef salad and club sandwich were terrific. The view of the lake behind the restaurant is stunning. Fair prices, clean and well maintained.

We stayed on the beach across the street from Lakeside Hideaway, so naturally we found our way over there. Yes it is a family restaurant! My wife was wrong! it's not just a bar, I was right!! everyone remember that please haha. Walking in We we're immediately greeted and walked to a booth. Our server was prompt to get our drinks and onion rings beer battered they we're absolutely delicious, fried properly in clean oil. The wife ordered the Teriyaki burger ..... and even though I'm not a fan... she said it was To Die For!! Lol I had the bread battered Fish and chips and at first ... I won't lie, I have never liked bread battered anything only beer battered. It's just softer on my gums. So let me tell you how excited I was to find my fish was perfectly bread battered. I mean whoever the cook is should really be proud of his cooking. Hell even my kids mini corn dogs were perfect hahaha. Service was awesome all around, we will definitely be returning and recommending! Thank you Lakeside Hideaway for running a proper establishment!....OMG!!! I totally frickin forgot!!! TRY THE CLAM CHOWDER!! We had that too and it was soooooo goood!
