Abbott's Frozen Custard - Rochester

I have been a fan of Abbotts since my childhood in the 1950s, when it was located on Lake Avenue in Charlotte.

I love Abbotts, and the staff at the Gates location are extremely friendly.

The restaurant has picnic tables and sidewalk chalk, as well as a fun outdoor space on the side, in addition to a large indoor area. The service was good, and they even have a drive-thru, although we did not use it. A couple of customers had their large dogs out barking, which scared the kids, but that was not the fault of the restaurant.

Delicious homemade frozen custard. We had large servings for our single scoop cones. Nice variety of flavors to choose from which a couple changing daily. We had prompt friendly service. Samples available to taste first. Pints, cakes and other frozen novelties available. Drive thru window at this location. Milk shakes, sundaes, and a variety of toppings are on the menu too. Restaurant was cleaned. Large parking lot in front, picnic tables outside and a few tables inside for seating. Order at counter.

The food is always tasty and you can't go wrong with any choice! The staff is friendly and they don't judge if you want to indulge a little more than usual. Plus, the drive-through option is a convenient bonus!
