Il Borgo - ROCCAGLORIOSA

Eating inside or out, lovely big pizzas arrive with a friendly welcome, good wine and some delicious cakey biscuits to follow. A homely, warm place with good straightforward food in a beautiful, small hillside town.

We had a splendid lunch comprised of pastas which my native Italian relatives concurred was delicious. A few contorni of seasonal broccoli and eggplant parmigiana authentic to the region like my mother’s) was enjoyed with a basket of fresh country bread. The meal concluded with in- house baked cookies that were so scrumptious we bought some to take home.
